Subway Directions
- From any T accessible location, take
the Red Line - Alewife direction if coming from Boston, Ashmont or Braintree
if coming from Cambridge or Somerville to the Kendall Square stop.
The T has four lines: the Red, Blue, Orange, and Green Lines. Thus, if you are not located near
the Red line you can take the Green line and transfer at Park Street or the Orange line
and transfer at Downtown Crossing. To get to Sloan once
above ground (you'll be on Main Street), head for the
nearby Fleet Bank on the corner of Wadsworth Street.
Walk half a block down Wadsworth toward the river, then
cross the street to a wide flight of stone steps and
the Sloan Plaza. The Hermann Building (which houses the
Sloan library and faculty offices; also known as E53) is
straight ahead, and the main Sloan building (E52) is on
your right.
- From the airport, take the free shuttle bus from your
terminal to the Airport T station, which is on the Blue
Line. Take an Inbound train to Government Center. Walk
up one flight of stairs to the Green Line and take a
Westbound trolley one stop to Park Street. Walk down one
flight to the Red Line and take an Alewife train to
Kendall (the second stop). During rush hours the entire
trip could take about 30 minutes. During off-hours it
could take an hour.
- The fare on T trains and trolleys is $1.25, with free
transfers between lines (as long as you don't pass through a turnstile).
On buses, the fare is $.90.
